I have one door that needs to be alarmed against just one resident

we are a small assisted living home. all except one resisident are capable and safe to come and go. There is one individual that takes a higher level of supervision.
He is not so incapable as to not learn how to unlock a combination alarm pad, or to remove a sensor placed on him, as in a bracket.

Is there a devise that would allow other residents thei r freedom to come and go with minimal fuss but still alert staff when the less competent resident leaves?
